Steering & Suspension

When your fleet vehicle does not steer correctly, it can make driving more difficult, and it can negatively affect other components of the vehicle, such as the tires and the axle. The most important components of proper steering and suspension are wheel alignment, shocks and struts and balljoints and tie rods.

What are the symptoms of a vehicle with incorrect alignment?

Have your vehicle checked if you notice:

  • Excessive or uneven tire wear.
  • The vehicle pulls to the left or right.
  • Feeling of looseness or wandering.
  • Steering wheel vibration or shimmy.
  • The steering wheel is not centered when the vehicle is moving straight ahead.

Proper maintenance of your vehicle’s steering and suspension components not only improve driving but can ensure that other parts of the vehicle are not negatively affected. If your vehicle is not driving as smoothly as it should, set up an appointment with the experts at All About Cars Total Car Care. Our team will inspect the vehicle and fix any problems to make sure it is driving as it should.

Tire Rotation

Rotating your tires is an easy and inexpensive way to minimize wear and extend tire life. This process of moving your tires from one side of the vehicle to the other, from front to rear, or a combination of both, will minimize wear that is ‘position specific. We recommend a tire rotation every 3,000 to 6,000 miles as a function of basic maintenance. Be sure to contact your service advisor for more information. Tire wear can be uneven for any number of reasons. You may be risking excess or premature wear, as well as a reduction in overall fuel economy, by not rotating your tires regularly. Even wear is essential for consistent performance and to extend the lifespan of a set of tires. Tires need to be checked on a regular basis for damage, such as stones, nails or other sharp objects that may have penetrated the tire. They also need to be checked for bulges, tears or cuts that might be the result of contact with road hazards. If you have doubts about the condition of your tires, it's best to have them inspected by All About Cars Total Car Care certified mechanics.

Brake Repairs & Service

Any brake repair work should be taken seriously and performed with care. After all, you have a lot riding on your brakes every time you press down on the pedal. Not only do we perform brake repair jobs on your car, we also address other important items. Brake pads and rotors take a massive amount of abuse, as they are the main component that turns the rotational energy into heat. This means that these parts are designed to wear out over time, so it’s important to inspect your brakes regularly…usually at every tire rotation or anytime the wheels of your vehicle are removed. If you suspect a brake issue...STOP!! A faulty braking system can be extremely dangerous, not only to you, but to others on the road as well. Call us and discuss your issue with one of our knowledgeable consultants, and if inspection and repair are needed. Think of us when your car, truck or SUV needs the factory-recommended 30k, 60k or 90,000-mile service. Since our shop is ASE-Certified, each of our technicians has gone through extensive training. You can rest assured every brake repair job is performed carefully and thoroughly.
